Look: Jameson Williams Hands Out Money to Detroit Youth

Lions rookie wideout Jameson Williams gave local kids money in Metro Detroit.

The Detroit Lions are hoping rookie wide receiver Jameson Williams has learned from his first indiscretion.

On social media this week, Detroit's 2022 first-round pick (No. 12 overall) posted himself handing out $100 bills to local kids.

In town for organized team workouts, Williams is hoping to put his first mistake behind him.

Prior to the draft, it was discovered that the speedy wideout will miss the first six games of the 2023 season, after violating the league's strict gambling policy.

Williams has the potential to become one of the most popular athletes in Metro Detroit, if he can avoid future mistakes that potentially take him away from the football field.

"We feel really good in terms of just having him through the remainder of the offseason program," said Lions general manager Brad Holmes. "We’ll get him in training camp, and then we’ll just have to have a good plan for when he has to depart and when he has to return. In terms of just -- I don’t think that Green can replace Jameson or any of that, but we are happy to get Green in the fold. And, he does add a vertical, stretching element.”
