Video Gamer Ninja to Serve as Lions' Honorary Captain against Giants

What do you do when you're an NFL franchise that's on a three-game losing streak?
Obviously, you invite a celebrity video gamer to your next game.
Or at least, that's what the Lions are doing in having Detroit superfan and Taylor, Mich., native Ninja be their honorary captain for today's game against the New York Giants.
Not only is @Ninja taking over our social media for #NYGvsDET, he's also going to serve as our honorary captain.

The Lions will also have the Fortnite superstar run their social media for the Week 8 matchup -- something the 28-year-old first publicly expressed interest in doing in early September.
Hey @Lions let me run your social media.

Unfortunately, Ninja won't be able to take the spot of Kerryon Johnson at running back or help out with the Lions' struggling pass rush.
Maybe, just maybe, though, he will serve as a source of good luck for the Lions.
Lord knows they could use it.
