Cam Newton Reveals the Only Team He Would Play for Right Now

In this story:
Former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has been waiting for the right opportunity to continue his career in the NFL. He last played with the Panthers in 2021 and has been waiting around ever since, electing not to retire.
During a guest appearance on Good Morning Football on Tuesday, Newton was asked which three teams he would consider playing for, if given the choice.
"It's not even three, it's just really one. Me having a family now, it's always been about family and I don't see myself leaving Atlanta. If it's not Atlanta, I don't want to do it."
Will @CameronNewton ever get back in the pads?

Although it would be difficult for Panthers fans to see Newton in a Falcon uniform, I think most would probably be understanding. Atlanta is Newton's home and he gave everything he had to the Panthers' organization. It wouldn't be to ruffle any feathers in Carolina or anything like that. It just happens to be that his hometown team is a rival of the team he quarterbacked for nearly a decade.
The Falcons are in search of a new head coach this offseason and one of the top candidates is Bill Belichick, who Newton played for in New England. Atlanta could also probably use another quarterback to push Desmond Ridder or to help guide him along in his development.
