Cardinals Expected to 'Move On' from WR Chosen Anderson

Arizona likely to part ways with the former Panthers receiver.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Arizona Cardinals are expected to move on from Chosen Anderson - the veteran wide receiver formally known as Robbie Anderson, formally known as Robby Anderson.

Anderson signed with the Panthers the same offseason they hired Matt Rhule as head coach. He impressed in his first year hauling in 95 receptions for 1,096 yards and three touchdowns. The stellar 2020 campaign may have been a bit of fools gold, but the Panthers believed in him at the time extending him on a two-year, $29.5M deal.

His numbers were cut in half in 2021 and was essentially a non-factor in six games with the team this past season, catching 13 passes for 206 yards. Shortly after he got into a heated argument on the sideline in the loss to the Rams, the Panthers traded him to the Cardinals in exchange for a 2024 6th-round pick and a 2025 7th-round pick.

The fresh start didn't help Anderson turn his season around and as a matter of fact, he had an even smaller impact on the offense in Arizona. In ten games, he recorded seven receptions for 76 yards.
