Derek Carr has taken a beating this season as he is currently working through rib and shoulder injuries all while suffering a concussion recently.

For much of the week, there was some uncertainty as to who would be under center for the New Orleans Saints against Carolina on Sunday. According to multiple reports, Carr has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to get the starting nod.

In the Saints' Week 2 win over the Panthers on Monday Night Football, Carr completed 21-of-36 pass attempts for 228 yards and an interception.

Jameis Winston will serve as the backup while Taysom Hill will see some snaps at the position, playing in his Swiss Army Knife role. Hill threw just one pass in the first matchup but did lead New Orleans on the ground with 75 yards on nine carries.
