What the ESPN FPI Says About the Panthers' Chances Against the Packers

Can Carolina make it two in a row?

The Panthers got back in the win column for the first time in nearly two months on Sunday and just the second time on the season, defeating the Atlanta Falcons 9-7.

Despite the crappy weather conditions, rookie quarterback Bryce Young threw the ball extremely well completing 18-of-24 pass attempts for 167 yards, not throwing an interception. Chuba Hubbard did his thing on the ground adding 87 yards on 22 carries - the same stat line he posted a week ago.

This week's opponent, Green Bay, is coming off the heels of a 34-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home where Baker Mayfield looked like an all-world quarterback. Mayfield finished the game with a perfect passer rating as he went 22/28 for 381 yards and four touchdowns.

According to the ESPN FPI, the Panthers have just a 30.4% chance to win while the Packers have a 69.3% chance.

This is a huge game for Green Bay after dropping two straight. It's an opportunity for them to get back on track against a two-win team and gain some ground in the playoff hunt.
