Former Rams QB Worked Out for Panthers Tuesday

In this story:
The Carolina Panthers worked out former Los Angeles Rams quarterback Bryce Perkins on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
Perkins signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia in 2020. He has appeared in five career regular season games, making one start. Perkins has completed 19-of-34 pass attempts for 161 yards and one touchdown while throwing two interceptions. In his two years at UVA, Perkins threw for 6,218 yards, 47 touchdowns, and 21 interceptions.
Starting quarterback Bryce Young (ankle) did not play in Sunday's loss to Seattle and his status for this week's game against Minnesota is unknown.
"Don't know yet," head coach Frank Reich said when asked about Young's chances to play this week. "We'll see how tomorrow goes and on Wednesday, we'll give you an update then. But I know he's done everything possible to put himself in position to [practice]. I talked to him Sunday for a little bit and he said he's felt better every day, so I'm encouraged by that."
Ahead of last week's game, the Panthers brought back QB Jake Luton who spent part of training camp and the preseason with Carolina.
