Grading the Panthers' Selection of DB Jammie Robinson

In this story:
With their final pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers took Florida State defensive back, Jammie Robinson. Here is how our staff views/grades the pick.
Schuyler Callihan: A
Love this pick for the Panthers. Robinson is a versatile defensive back that can play both safety spots and the nickel. He's a high-volume tackler that has great speed and can pack a punch with his hits. Carolina had a goal of strengthening the depth of the secondary this offseason and did that by adding Vonn Bell, Eric Rowe, and now, Robinson.
Matt Welch: A
Jamie Robinson is a ball hawk of a safety with proven ball skills throughout his college career. This move helps with the notion of wanting to move Jeremy Chinn to LB and adding depth at safety. Robinson is a guy who could potentially see the field right away, whether it be specific packages or eventually becoming a full-time starter.
Tyler Ball: A
Robinson's tape doesn’t do his talent justice which is why the Panthers got him for a steal in the 5th round. With Chinn moving to linebacker there is an extreme need for versatility at both linebacker and safety. Robinson adds that by bringing his speed, ability to quickly read and execute plays. He is a playmaker and his precision reminds me of Kurt Coleman.
