Marquis Haynes Sr. Misses Practice Due to Injury

In this story:
89 of the 90 players on the Carolina Panthers' roster participated in Saturday's practice at Gibbs Stadium. The only player missing? Outside linebacker Marquis Haynes Sr.
Shortly after practice wrapped up, head coach Frank Reich spoke with the media and gave a quick update on Haynes' absence.
"Marquis had a little bit of a back issue. He's fine. We're just being precautious. He should be fine. Prognosis is good and hopefully, get him back out here soon."
Haynes is competing for the starting spot opposite Brian Burns after being used in limited roles in the past. However, if you project out his numbers from the last two seasons to that of a starter, you're looking at 130.5 tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss, 21 sacks, and 64 pressures.
This is a big opportunity for Haynes to assert himself as the starter, make plays, and be a part of this thing moving forward.
