NFC Power Rankings - Week 17

A look at where each team sits heading into Week 17.

Every week, All Panthers publisher Schuyler Callihan will release a fresh set of NFC Power Rankings. Here is how he views the conference after 16 weeks of play.

This week's rankings (last week's rank if changed)

16. Carolina Panthers

Carolina came oh so close to winning a second straight. Good fight though.

15. Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray balled out but his defense gave up 250 on the ground to Chicago.

14. Washington Commanders

Comeback attempt in New York comes up short as the Commanders continue to slide.

13. New York Giants (12)

Tommy DeVito gets benched, yet the Giants still had a chance to tie it up at the end with Philly.

12. Chicago Bears (13)

Chicago has quietly won three of its last four.

11. New Orleans Saints (9)

Rushing for 35 yards isn't going to win you many games and New Orleans found that out on Thursday Night Football.

10. Atlanta Falcons (11)

Good win for Atlanta over Indy, but I'm still not a believer in this group.

9. Green Bay Packers (10)

I was really hesitant to move Green Bay up at all. A three-point win over a two-win Carolina team in which they needed some calls to go there way...yikes.

8. Minnesota Vikings

Nick Mullens gave Minnesota a chance by throwing for 411 yards, but he also helped put them in a hole with four interceptions.

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

A dominant win over Jacksonville is something I did not see coming Props to the Bucs.

6. Los Angeles Rams

I'll say it again...watch out for the Rams. Winners of five of their last six.

5. Seattle Seahawks

It may not have been pretty but Geno Smith's game-winning drive keeps the Seahawks in the top five.

4. Dallas Cowboys (3)

The Cowboys have lost two straight and have the Lions on deck. Sheesh.

3. Philadelphia Eagles (4)

Philly finally gets off the schneid and moves up a spot.

2. San Francisco 49ers (1)

I picked Baltimore to win the game, but by no means did I think they would win so convincingly. Niners had a bad night, so they drop one spot.

1. Detroit Lions (2)

For the first time this season, the Lions claim the top spot in the NFC.
