Panthers Elevate Two Linemen Ahead of Sunday's Game vs. Atlanta

Roster moves for Falcons week.
In this story:

The Carolina Panthers are elevating offensive linemen Gabe Jackson and J.D. DiRenzo ahead of Sunday's home game against the Atlanta Falcons, according to Darin Gantt of Panthers.com.

Jackson was elevated last week for the game in New Orleans, however, he only saw action on three plays - all of which came on special teams. Jackson, 32, has started 130 games in his career, spending time with the Raiders (2014-20) and the Seahawks (2021-22).

If DiRenzo plays in the game, it will be mark his official debut in the NFL. He signed on as an undrafted free agent last spring and has spent the year on the team's practice squad.

With what appears to be less than ideal weather conditions for Sunday's game, the Panthers will need as many options as possible along the offensive line to help pave the way for the ground game.
