In this story:

Many expect the Carolina Panthers to hire someone with an offensive background as its next head coach.

With so much invested into rookie quarterback Bryce Young in addition to all the issues on that side of the ball, it makes a lot of sense to bring in a guy who can not only fix the problems at hand but to build an efficient offensive product for years to come.

But that doesn't mean the Panthers are completely ignoring defensive-minded coaches for the position. As a matter of fact, there are a handful of candidates they are considering, including Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris who is scheduled to interview for the job this week, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Over the last three years, he has served as the Rams' defensive coordinator and his unit has finished 13th, 18th, and 20th in total defense, respectively.

Morris will also interview for the head coaching posts in Seattle and Washington.
