In this story:

Sunday evening, the Carolina Panthers agreed to terms with veteran cornerback Troy Hill.

Hill spent two seasons with Panthers secondary/cornerbacks coach Jonathan Cooley with the Los Angeles Rams (2020 & 22) and one season with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero (2022).

The Panthers are relatively thin at corner and with Jaycee Horn and Donte Jackson's history with injuries, it's easy to see why this move was made.

After spending five of his first six years in the NFL with the Rams, Hill played one season with the Cleveland Browns in 2021. He returned to L.A. in 2022 and recorded 67 tackles, four pass breakups, and one interception in twelve games. For his career, Hill has totaled 334 tackles, 34 pass breakups, 12 tackles for loss, and eight interceptions, five QB hits.

The corresponding move has not been made public yet.
