Donte Jackson is the Fastest Cornerback in Madden 21

Panthers cornerback Donte Jackson is known for his lightning fast speed, and it has definitely been applied to this year's edition of Madden. It was recently announced that Jackson received a 96 rating in the speed category of the game. This makes Jackson the fastest cornerback in the Madden 21.

Jackson ran a 4.32 40-yard dash in the the NFL combine and placed in second in the 40 Yards of Gold tournament, so it was essential for the developers at EA to apply his blazing speed into the game. Among all of the cornerbacks in the NFL, only four have a speed rating greater than a 95: Parry Nickerson, Keion Crossen, Denzel Ward, and Donte Jackson.

Jackson may have the highest speed rating in Madden, but he doesn't have the best overall rating by any means. He is projected to have an 82 rating in this year's game, which seems unsurprising. He didn't play terribly last year, but he has some areas of his game that need improvement. This isn't entirely on his shoulders; he was on a very young secondary that just so happens to be in one of the best passing divisions in the NFL.

While Jackson struggled at times last season, there were still flashes of his incredible athleticism on display. In thirteen starts, he produced 40 combined tackles, eight pass deflections, and three interceptions. This could be the season where Jackson shines as one of the best players on the Panthers defense.

With Phil Snow as the new defensive coordinator, it will be interesting to see how Jackson is utilized. If everything goes as planned for the new coaching staff, Jackson could have a breakout season. Once this occurs, expect his Madden rating to increase.
