The Carolina Panthers have lost a member of the quarterback room. According to Field Yates of ESPN, the New Orleans Saints are signing QB Jake Luton off the practice squad to their 53-man roster.

Luton spent some time with the Panthers in the preseason but was cut at the end of August. He signed back with the organization shortly after Bryce Young missed practice with an ankle injury and on Sunday, he was elevated to the Panthers' active roster for this past week's game in Seattle, serving as the backup to Andy Dalton.

On Tuesday, the Panthers reportedly worked out free agent quarterbacks Bryce Perkins and Kellen Mond.
