Panthers CB Jaycee Horn Sidelined With Another Injury

Unfortunate news for the young Panthers corner.

The injury bug continues to bite Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn.

According to Darin Gantt of Panthers.com, the former first-round pick will be shut down for the remainder of OTAs and will not participate in mandatory minicamp due to a left ankle and foot injury that has landed him in a boot.

Per the report, Horn will not be required to have surgery and is expected to be fully recovered by training camp which is set to start in late July.

Just three games into his rookie campaign, Horn suffered multiple broken bones in his foot during a Thursday night game against the Houston Texans. It resulted in Horn landing on injured reserve and he never made his way back to the field that season. Thankfully, this injury happened to his other foot.

Toward the end of last season, Horn underwent wrist surgery and missed the final two games of the year. In two seasons, Horn has played in just 16 of the possible 34 games (47%). In those 16 games, he's recorded 58 tackles, two tackles for loss, eight pass breakups, four interceptions, and one QB hit.
