The Carolina Panthers claimed cornerback Shaquill Griffin on Thursday from the Houston Texans.

The 28-year-old appeared in ten games this season for the Texans and recorded 33 tackles, four pass breakups and one interception. He does have some familiarity with those in the building, having been a third round draft pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 2017, where GM Scott Fitterer worked in the front office.

Griffin spent the first four years of his career in Seattle before playing in 19 games over two years with the Jacksonville Jaguars and then this year's stint with Houston. He's tallied 360 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 63 pass breakups, and seven interceptions over his seven years in the league.
