Panthers Claim Three Players Off Waivers

According to the NFL waiver wire, the Carolina Panthers claimed three players off waivers - offensive lineman Calvin Throckmorton (New Orleans Saints), defensive back D'Shawn Jamison (San Francisco 49ers), and linebacker Claudin Cherelus (New York Jets).
Throckmorton, a former undrafted free agent out of Oregon, started 20 games over the past two seasons with the Saints, allowing four sacks in 1,399 career offensive snaps. He played left guard as a rookie and bounced around a bit last year.
D'Shawn Jamison signed with the Niners as an undrafted free agent this past spring after playing five years at the University of Texas. During his collegiate career, Jamison totaled 140 tackles, 17 pass breakups, six tackles for loss, and six interceptions.
As for Cherelus, he played his college ball at Alcorn State and tallied 73 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, and four QB hurries in just nine games as a senior.
