Panthers Re-Sign DL Henry Anderson

Carolina brings back some help along the defensive line.

The Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with veteran defensive lineman Henry Anderson.

Anderson appeared in 11 games this past season with the Panthers, recording 18 tackles, three tackles for loss, and one QB hit. He will join a defensive line that includes Derrick Brown and new additions DeShawn Williams and Shy Tuttle.

One day before the Carolina Panthers home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in late October, Anderson experienced a scary situation that placed him on the non-football injury list.

Anderson revealed to reporters in the locker room that he suffered a "minor stroke" at home. Fortunately, his wife, Saryn, was at home when it occurred and helped take care of him, driving him to a local hospital in Charlotte where he would be hospitalized for "a few days".

Anderson played the final four games of the year.
