A Lamar Jackson Trade 'Is Possible'

In this story:
Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has reiterated that Lamar Jackson will be their starting quarterback in 2023. However, it appears Jackson and the Ravens are unlikely to agree to terms on a long-term deal which will force Baltimore to place the franchise tag on him.
There is though, a chance that Jackson could be made available for trade, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
"They have come out and said 200% chance Lamar Jackson is their quarterback. And I'm saying, I'm not so sure about that," Rapoport said during an interview on the Pat McAfee Show. "I know they're going to tag him and they could do a non-exclusive tag which is if someone signed him to an offer sheet, they get two first round picks. They could do an exclusive tag but you still could trade him. He could sign it and then you could trade him and then work out a new deal and that'll probably get you more than two first round picks. That'll get you more like the Russell Wilson package. There is a possibility that the Ravens could be tempted with a windfall of picks. I think a trade is possible. I mean, it is expensive, but possible."
Carolina currently holds the No. 9 pick in the draft, so there is no guarantee that one of the top quarterbacks will still be on the board when they're on the clock. Either way, they're going to have to make a move to go get "their guy". You either trade up for C.J. Stroud or Bryce Young OR you make a massive trade to land Lamar Jackson.
It will not only cost Carolina a ton of draft capital to make the trade happen, but they're going to likely have to pay him north of $200 million in guaranteed money. That's a lot of dough for a quarterback that has only played in 12 games in each of the last two seasons.
