Jaycee Horn Ranked as a Top-10 Corner in the NFL

In this story:
Jaycee Horn is without question one of the players the Carolina Panthers want to build this young defense with. He has the ability to lock down some of the NFL's best receivers in man coverage and make plays on the ball downfield.
Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus recently ranked Horn as the ninth-best corner in the NFL, behind only Sauce Gardner (Jets), Jalen Ramsey (Dolphins), Darius Slay (Eagles), Patrick Surtain II (Broncos), Jaire Alexander (Packers), Stephon Gilmore (Cowboys), Marshon Lattimore (Saints), and Trevon Diggs (Cowboys).
When he's on the field, he plays like one of the best ten corners in the game. The problem is, he just hasn't been able to stay healthy in either of his first two seasons. He suffered a pedal foot fracture in Week 3 of his rookie season which cost him the rest of the year and then this past season, he dealt with rib, foot, and wrist injuries. However, he was able to play in 13 games and made his impact felt by pulling down three interceptions, breaking up seven passes, and recording 53 tackles.
Should Horn escape the injury bug in 2023, I firmly believe we'll see the conversation shift to whether or not he's a top-five corner in the league.
