A look at where each team sits heading into Week 2.

NFC Power Rankings - Week 2

In this story:

Every week, All Panthers publisher Schuyler Callihan will release a fresh set of NFC Power Rankings. Here is how he views the conference after one week of play.

This week's rankings (last week's rank if changed)

16. Arizona Cardinals

The Cards hung around, so I'll give them credit for that.

15. Chicago Bears (14)

Chicago's secondary didn't look too hot against Jordan Love and the Packers. It might be a while before they climb out of this spot.

14. Carolina Panthers (10)

Turnovers cost the Panthers in their season opener against Atlanta. The offense has a long way to go.

13. Washington Commanders

No movement here for Washington. Congrats, you beat the worst team in the league.

12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (15)

Although Baker Mayfield and co. took down the No. 2 team in last week's rankings, I could only give them a small bump up. I'm still not a believer in this team. That game may tell us more about Minnesota than it does Tampa Bay.

11. Atlanta Falcons

Jessie Bates III singlehandedly won the game for Atlanta. Bijan Robinson was as good as advertised, but they MUST find a downfield passing game.

10. Los Angeles Rams (12)

Another big Week 1 upset with L.A. taking down Seattle. I'm not reading too much into this just yet. The Rams have to prove a little more to me over the next few weeks.

9. New York Giants (6)

Woof.

8. Green Bay Packers (9)

Not a bad first outing for Jordan Love. How will he look against a more competitive team? That's the big question.

7. Minnesota Vikings (2)

Horrible Week 1 L for Minnesota. The offense moved the ball, they just couldn't finish off drives.

6. New Orleans Saints (7)

A slim one-point win over Tennessee isn't all that impressive, especially considering Ryan Tannehill tossed three picks. Ugly win, but it's a win.

5. Seattle Seahawks (3)

It's not time to panic yet, Seattle. It's one game.

4. Detroit Lions (8)

The stunner of the week? Detroit kicked off the 2023 season with a bang, taking down the defending Super Bowl champs in Kansas City. This team looks legit.

3. San Francisco 49ers (5)

Poor Pittsburgh. San Francisco did whatever they wanted to in the 30-7 road victory. If Brock Purdy can continue to play clean football, look out.

2. Dallas Cowboys (4)

We've seen this before. Dallas puts up an impressive early season win and everyone thinks they're Super Bowl bound. I can't ignore a 40-point win, so they get this spot for now. That said, I'd be shocked if they remained in the top five for long.

1. Philadelphia Eagles

It wasn't pretty, but the No. 1 team won, so they will stay atop the rankings.
