NFC Power Rankings - Week 6

In this story:

Every week, All Panthers publisher Schuyler Callihan will release a fresh set of NFC Power Rankings. Here is how he views the conference after five weeks of play.

This week's rankings (last week's rank if changed)

16. Carolina Panthers (15)

Could this team look any worse? Yikes.

15. Arizona Cardinals (14)

The Cardinals, in my opinion, have the least talent in the NFC but they've looked a whole heck of a lot better than Carolina through five weeks.

14. New York Giants (13)

Buckle up Giants fans. You're in for a long, long season.

13. Washington Commanders (12)

Now we're starting to see that Washington's 2-0 start was fools gold. Their two wins over the Cardinals and Broncos came by a combined six points. Now, it all makes sense.

12. Chicago Bears (16)

The Bears are finally out of the cellar thanks to a dominating win over Washington. DJ Moore was unstoppable in this one. Sorry, Panthers fans.

11. Green Bay Packers (7)

This is a tough team to gauge. Losing to the Raiders? Really? I'm starting to get the sense that this is just a below average football team.

10. Los Angeles Rams (9)

I really thought the Rams would pull off the upset this week against the Eagles. The run game was just non-existent. Can't ding L.A. too hard here.

9. Minnesota Vikings (8)

Man, the Vikings are reeling. I know they've had a tough schedule, but boy oh boy do they need a win in the worst of ways.

8. Atlanta Falcons (11)

Squeezing out a win against Houston isn't all that impressive but when everyone else loses, you get to move up.

7. Dallas Cowboys (5)

The Cowboys like to be involved in one-sided affairs. It just so happens that this week they were on the wrong end of a 32-point blowout. The Niners are good, folks.

6. New Orleans Saints (10)

Same situation as Atlanta, except the Saints actually won their game against the Pats going away. There's still some concern with this team.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6)

Bye week.

4. Detroit Lions

The Lions took care of the winless Panthers and are off to their best start in years.

3. Seattle Seahawks

Bye week.

2. San Francisco 49ers

The Niners are really tempting me to bump the Eagles from the top spot. But until the Eagles lose, I just can't.

1. Philadelphia Eagles

Another week, another win. Philly remains atop the rankings.
