Every week, All Panthers publisher Schuyler Callihan will release a fresh set of NFC Power Rankings. Here is how he views the conference after seven weeks of play.

This week's rankings (last week's rank if changed)

16. Carolina Panthers

Bye week.

15. Arizona Cardinals

The Cards are technically the worst team, so if Carolina actually wins this week they'll move to their actual home of 16th place.

14. Green Bay Packers (11)

A loss to the Broncos? Yeah, that's not a good look.

13. Washington Commanders (10)

Washington may be the worst three-win team out there. Your defense holds the other team to 14 points and you lose? Better yet how do you only score seven on the Giants? Yikes.

12. New York Giants (14)

Hey, the Giants won a game!

11. Chicago Bears (13)

Do we have a QB controversy in Chicago? Just kidding, but what a showing from the undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent.

10. New Orleans Saints (9)

It's like Derek Carr is still with the Raiders. The Saints make you think they're actually a decent team but they always find a way to fall short. Yes, it is the Jags but still, New Orleans can't get over the hump against a quality team.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6)

The Bucs have beaten the teams they should beat and lost to the teams they should lose to. That was up until Sunday.

8. Los Angeles Rams

A tough home loss to the Steelers in a hard-fought game, so I'm not dinging them for it this week.

7. Atlanta Falcons (12)

It wasn't pretty by any means but any time you can pick up a road win against a division rival, you have to feel pretty good.

6. Minnesota Vikings (7)

I've probably been higher on this Vikings team than most. I still believe they can turn their season around and a win over San Fran is a good start.

5. Dallas Cowboys

Bye week.

4. Detroit Lions (3)

I actually picked Detroit to beat the Ravens in Baltimore. Boy, do I look like a fool?

3. San Francisco 49ers (2)

Brock Purdy didn't have his best Monday night and the Niners struggled because of it. It's hard to win games when you turn it over three times on the road.

2. Seattle Seahawks (4)

I had a hard time putting Seattle here but the Lions got crushed and the Niners have lost two in a row.

1. Philadelphia Eagles

An impressive win over one of the top teams in the NFL. There's a reason why I didn't drop them from the top spot even after a loss.
