REPORT: Panthers Expected to Sign TE Hayden Hurst

In this story:
Since they parted ways with Greg Olsen following the 2019 season, the Carolina Panthers haven't had a true receiving threat at tight end. Today, that changes.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Panthers are expected to sign veteran tight end Hayden Hurst. This past season, Hurst was one of Joe Burrow's favorite targets in Cincinnati, hauling in 52 receptions for 513 yards and two touchdowns.
Hurst was selected 25th overall in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens where he spent two seasons before being traded to the Atlanta Falcons. During his time in Atlanta, Hurst caught 82 passes for 792 yards and two touchdowns.
On average, Hurst will produce 35.4 receptions, 343 yards, and 2.8 touchdowns.
