Quick Hits: Simplifying the Game, Generating Explosives, Injury Updates + More

In this story:
Getting more explosive plays
"We got to be better as coaches. We got to be better in putting our guys in position to make explosive plays. I am really encouraged as I said the other day, I think the pass game looked pretty good this past week and there's a lot of good things in there to build on. I think we're headed in the right direction."
How to get the run game going this week
"Miles [Sanders] came out of the game with a little something [shoulder], so we'll see how he progresses this week. Miles is a pretty tough guy, so I'm not predetermining anything at this point but I don't mind telling you I don't think Miles is going to practice today."
If the staff gave Bryce Young too much stuff at once
"Every coach would tell you when you're 0-5...what's the answer? Do more? No. The answer is do less. Every coach. The history of the NFL. Do less. Does that mean you gave him too much? Maybe, maybe not. I don't know the answer to that. I just know we got to get better. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again."
Injury update on Jaycee Horn and Xavier Woods
"Making very good progress. I don't want to put a timetable on them but really encouraged with Jaycee's progress and Xavier. I would say they're both ahead of schedule."
