Wednesday Update: Brian Burns Arrives to Practice in Pads

In this story:
Outside linebacker Brian Burns arrived to Panthers practice in pads and helmet on Wednesday.
Earlier this week, linebacker Shaq Thompson stressed the importance of Burns being back by Wednesday, putting some pressure on the front office to get something figured out.
"We need him every day. We need him by Wednesday. We need to see him in pads by Wednesday," Thompson stated. "Everybody here knows. Everybody outside of here knows. Everybody in the stands knows. Everybody above us knows what he deserves and what he should be getting paid and they know what to do to make it right before Week 1."
Reich told reporters on Monday that he is unsure of Burns' intentions when it comes to playing in Sunday's season opener in Atlanta.
"You have to think the best, hope the best but prepare for all options."
The team will release the injury/participation report shortly after practice, giving us a better idea of where things stand with Burns. If he participates in practice, it could be an indicator that he will play on Sunday.
