In this story:

Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young will make his return to the field this Sunday at Bank of America Stadium after missing last week's game in Seattle with an ankle injury.

"First thing I would say is hats off to Bryce for getting himself ready to get out there today," said head coach Frank Reich. "You could see the determination in his eyes. You could feel his energy and the will to be out there."

Young did not practice at all last week leading up to the Seahawks game but returned in limited action early this week and was a full participant throughout the week. Moments ago, the team announced he has been cleared and will start this Sunday against Minnesota.

"I would say honestly, yesterday probably felt like his best day this fall when it comes to not just the execution but the energy and enthusiasm," offensive coordinator Thomas Brown said Thursday. "Stepping into the huddle calling a play with conviction, coaching his guys up from a receiver standpoint and o-line up front, just kind of being the maestro. It was the best job he's done in my opinion so far this year."
