Panthers Sign Former Raiders Cornerback

In this story:
Carolina Panthers starting cornerback Jaycee Horn suffered a hamstring injury in the team's season opener last Sunday in Atlanta. According to head coach Frank Reich, Horn is expected to miss an "extended period of time" and noted that both IR and surgery are "on the table" for the Panthers' shutdown corner.
In an effort to replenish the depth at corner, the Panthers signed Sam Webb off the Las Vegas Raiders' practice squad.
Webb signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and ended up playing in all 17 games for the silver and black as a rookie. He recorded 36 tackles, three pass breakups, and one forced fumble, but did allow 31 completions on 44 targets, going for an average of 10.9 yards per completion.
Both Reich and defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero told reporters this week that they are still "sorting through" what the rotation at corner will look like on Monday night, but that CJ Henderson and Troy Hill are likely to be the next two guys in line.
