Former Panthers Draft Pick Makes Return to NFL

In this story:
Daviyon Nixon, a former fifth-round draft choice by the Carolina Panthers in 2021, is back in the league after signing a deal with the Miami Dolphins.
Nixon appeared in 14 games in two seasons with the Panthers (2021-22) registering 15 tackles, two QB hits, and 0.5 sacks. Many viewed him as a prospect with high potential, including myself. I believed he had the talent and ability to develop into a quality interior pass rusher but it just never materialized in Carolina in Phil Snow's defense.
It also didn't help the cause that he suffered a knee injury in 2021, cutting his rookie season short. After being let go by the Panthers in '22, Nixon had a cup of coffee with the Seattle Seahawks spending six days on the roster before being waived.
With Christian Wilkins set to become an unrestricted free agent, Miami needs to have a plan in place incase he were to leave. Nixon won't be the answer but he could supply them with depth.
