ORCHARD PARK, NY.--The Las Vegas Raiders (1-0) look to expand their winning ways in 2023 against the Buffalo Bills (0-1) here in Western New York today.

Remember the rule of five. The game is over if the Raiders win that key statistical battle. It concerns sacks and turnovers, for those who don't remember it. If the Raiders have three sacks and give up two, they are plus one. They are plus three if they get four turnovers and give up only one. That would give them a plus-four for the day. They want to get to a plus-five ratio every game. On average, teams that reach the rule of five scenarios win 91 percent of their NFL games.

After what was a somewhat quiet first-game performance, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams exploded in this first half.

The All-Pro wide receiver found the end zone and made a number of big plays to keep the Raiders’ drives going and move the chains.

Adams has 79 receiving yards at halftime.

On the other side of the ball, Las Vegas had some occasional successful pressures, but the magician that is Josh Allen ultimately was too much for the Raiders’ secondary.

Allen finished the half with 142 passing yards and two touchdowns on 18-of-21 passing.

A big stop by the Raiders late in the half, though, would keep it a one-possession game after Buffalo went for it on fourth down with just a single yard from the end zone.
