Las Vegas Raiders vs. Indianapolis Colts Live Game Updates

Live game updates between the 2-6 Las Vegas Raiders vs. the 3-5-1 Indianapolis Colts

LAS VEGAS, Nev.--The Las Vegas Raiders (2-6) are facing a spiraling Indianapolis Colts (3-5-1) and are in a situation that they absolutely must win today.

They are ready to move on and see if they can repeat the magic of last season and resurrect what many consider a season that is over.

Remember the rule of five. If the Las Vegas Raiders win that key statistical battle, the game is over. For those who don't remember it, it has to do with sacks and turnovers. If the Raiders have three sacks and give up two, that means they are plus one. If they then get four turnovers and give up only one, that means they are plus three. That would give them a plus-four for the day. They want to get to a plus-five ratio every game. Teams that reach the rule of five scenarios win 91 percent of their NFL games on average.

HALFTIME:

For anyone who thought that the game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts would be filled with back and forth action, you obviously don't know these teams that well.

What fans probably didn't anticipate was that the Colts offense would be the one that held control for most of the first half.

Matt Ryan was unexpectedly named the starter again when the Colts offense took the field, and he's played an efficient first-half, scoring the Colts lone touchdown.

Raiders QB Derek Carr had seen little production in comparison before throwing a four-yard touchdown to tight end Foster Moreau.

The team has been running offense through running back Josh Jacobs, who saw 15 touches in the first half and has averaged 4.6 yards per carry.

What hasn't helped has been penalties rearing their ugly head for the Raiders, as they had five called on them for 50 yards in the first half.

The Raiders can't afford to play as sloppy as they did at times in the first half if they want to have a chance to pull out a win at home.
