The Las Vegas Raiders held their 2023 Content Day on Monday, as several players were in uniform taking photos and videos at the Intermountain Health Performance Center to promote the team ahead of the regular season.

Players like star wide receiver Davante Adams, star defensive ends Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, and tight end Michael Mayer were all featured on the Raiders’ social media pages.

New safety Marcus Epps also joined the Raiders Roundtable Live Show on their YouTube channel and talked about several topics, including the trust the Raiders have in him this season.

“It felt like, this offseason, all that hard work was coming together,” Epps said. “It's a blessing to have this opportunity that this organization, a storied franchise, they see that trust in me and for them to come get me, it felt really good.”

Epps signed with the Raiders in March after spending the last four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He signed a two-year, $ 12-million contract and will likely slot in as the team’s starting free safety.

Epps was unranked from Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California, and was a sixth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He talked about keeping a chip on his shoulder and always maintaining a competitive fire.

“I always want to feel like I have something to prove,” Epps said. “I never want to be complacent, I always want to keep that hunger and keep that drive, and keep working to strive for more.”

Epps was in on a career-high 1,095 plays as he started every game at free safety with the Eagles last season. Epps is excellent at stopping the run and making tackles in coverage. The Eagles showed faith in Epps to become their starting safety last season, and he delivered on it.

Epps talked about his play style and what he can bring to the Raiders.

“I feel like I can play free or strong [safety], I feel like I can slide down in the slot and play nickel if I ever needed to,” Epps said. “That’s for my work ethic in the offseason, always trying to sharpen my tools, sharpen my skill set.”

The offseason is a time for fans to get excited about their team, and Marcus Epps gives the Raiders many reasons to be excited about what he can do for their defense.

The Raiders' offseason workout schedule is as follows:

OTA Offseason workouts: June 12-15

Mandatory Minicamp: June 6-8
