Raiders NFL Draft Prospect: WR Ricky Pearsall, Florida
As a former coach at Arizona State, Las Vegas Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce has the benefit of having a direct affiliation with some NFL prospects as the 2024 NFL Draft approaches.
One of those is former Florida and Arizona State wide receiver Rickey Pearsall, a top-40 receiving leader in the 2023 NCAA season.
Pearsall played his first three college seasons at Arizona State, starting in 2019 and totaled 128 yards only seven receptions in his freshman season.
The next year, Pearsall played in all of the Sun Devils' games, recording 86 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown on six receptions, as well as one rushing touchdown.
In 2021, his final season at Arizona State, Pearsall finished with 580 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown and one rushing touchdown. He would be named an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mentione choice.
Then Pearsall then transferred to Florida in 2022.
Pierce served as Arizona State's associate head coach in 2020 and 2021, the last two seasons of Pearsall's career with the Sun Devils.

Pearsall played all 13 games for Florida in 2022, making 10 starts. He recorded 661 receiving yards, five receiving touchdowns, 113 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown with the Gators.
In his final college season, Pearsall tallied a career-best 965 receiving yards, which included three 100-plus receiving-yard games. He also had four receiving touchdowns, 62 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Like the Raiders' most recent wide receiver draft pick, Tre Tucker, Pearsall is a versatile threat who can make big plays on the ground as well.
Between that and his experience with Coach Pierce, Pearsall would make for a great potential third-round option.
From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
