Raiders' 2024 Road Slate Includes Some of NFL's Top QBs

Las Vegas Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce is going to have to go through some of the league's best quarterbacks to reach the playoffs in what will be his first season as full-time head coach.

The Raiders already have the challenge of seeing the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, and arguably the best quarterback in the game, Patrick Mahomes, twice a year.

However, Mahomes will be only one of the many top quarterbacks on the Silver and Black's 2024 schedule.

Particularly on the road, the Raiders will be facing some of the most dominant quarterbacks in the NFL.

One of them will be the league's reigning MVP, Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, whom Las Vegas is set to go up against at M&T Bank Stadium.

Jackson led the Ravens to the AFC Championship game after leading them to the No. 1 seed in the conference last seaaon. He finished the season fourth in the league with a passer rating of 102.7.

The Raiders will be going up against another 2023 Pro-Bowl quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins. Las Vegas fell to Tagovailoa and the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium last season and will get a shot at redemption in Miami next season.

Tagovailoa finished the 2023 NFL season first in total passing yards with 4,624 and second in passing yards per game at 272.0.

Then there areJoe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers, who each suffered season-ending injuries last season. Both quarterbacks are young and on the rise and will surely be looking to come back better than ever when they return.

As far as the NFC goes, the Raiders will have to prepare for two quarterbacks who each come off postseason trips -- Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams and Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Stafford finished the 2023 season sixth in the league in passing yards per game at 264.3, while Mayfield finished ninth in total passing yards at 4,044.

Then, of course, there's former Raiders quarterback Derek Carr of the New Orleans Saint, who will be awaiting a reunion with his former team at the Caesars Superdome.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
