AFC West Week 3 Preview: LA, Denver Look For First Wins

In this story:
A victory for the Las Vegas Raiders over the Pittsburgh Steelers and wins by each of their division rivals would go a long way this Sunday.
Victories for the Raiders or Kansas City Chiefs could give them leverage in the race for the division's top spot if the other were to lose. Wins for both of them would also still give Las Vegas the upper hand.
Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers are both searching for their first wins, and an 0-3 start for either team would be quite the hole to climb out of.
Here's what to look for this weekend from the Raiders' fellow AFC West members:
Denver Broncos at Miami Dolphins
The Broncos will have their hands full in their quest for their first victory on Sunday as they face a Dolphins offense that has proven to be one of the best in the league.
Through two weeks, Miami is leading the league with 925 total offensive yards, an average of 462.5 offensive yards per game, 710 total passing yards, and an average of 355.0 passing yards per game.
Denver comes off a tough loss to the Washington Commanders in which it failed on a potential game-tying two-point conversion that would have forced overtime.
Going up against a tough Dolphins team on the road with aspirations of earning a bounce-back win is not ideal for the winless Broncos, but anything can happen.
Chicago Bears at Kansas City Chiefs
There couldn't really be a more perfect opportunity for Kansas City to go 2-1 than the one it will have this Sunday.
At home against an 0-2 Bears team that is in the bottom quarter of the league in both total offense and total defense, the defending Super Bowl champions would have to have a poor performance all around to lose this game.
Los Angeles Chargers at Minnesota Vikings
This game will really determine what the Chargers are made of and where they are headed this season.
It's a match-up of two 0-2 teams which have each suffered close losses to good teams.
With each team looking to get in the win column, you can expect this showdown to be an all-out battle.
Both Los Angeles and Minnesota are top-10 in the league in total offense, which means whichever team is to come out victorious will likely need to have the better defensive showing.
Unfortunately for the Chargers, they are last in the league with 877 yards allowed and an average of 438.5 yards allowed per game.
That, however, is largely due to the exceptional Week 1 outing by Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who 466 passing yards.
The Silver and Black return home to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 8:20 p.m. EDT/5:20 p.m. PDT.
