Las Vegas Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce has been living out a dream coaching his favorite team from his youth. Now, the experience has become even more personal for the recently declared head coach.

According to a report from Jay Tust of KTVB on Monday, Pierce's son, De'Andre Pierce, will be joining the Raiders' coaching staff as an offensive quality control coach.

De'Andre Pierce most recently spent the 2023 college football season as a defensive quality control coach for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Antonio Pierce and his son will be in the same football building for the third time in a decade, as the father-son duo were previously part of the same program at both the college and high school levels.

The two were last together for two years at Arizona State when Antonio Pierce served as co-defensive coordinator in 2020-21 before becoming sole defensive coordinator for the 2021 season.

De'Andre Pierce played under his father as a defensive back in those two seasons after transferring from Boise State.

Then, De'Andre Pierce spent four seasons with the Broncos, making 25 starts in 36 appearances.

In his final season (2019) with Boise State, De'Andre Pierce made only six starts due to injuries. His 2018 season was also cut short when he sustained a season-ending injury after four games.

The injuries in those final two seasons halted De'Andre Pierce's promising trajectory with the program, as he had been named an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention selection in 2017.

Before college, De'Andre Pierce played under his father at Long Beach Poly High School. Antonio Pierce served as the football program's head coach from 2014 to 2017.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
