In this story:

Las Vegas Raiders pass rusher Chandler Jones was one of the key players who has experience with Coach Josh McDaniels from their days in New England.

While Jones is a veteran entering his 12th NFL season, his early years in the league allowed him to learn what it took to win it all.

Jones, who was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2012, was a vital member of the Patriots teams that went to Super Bowl XLIV against the Seattle Seahawks.

In their run to the 2014-15 title, the edge rusher totaled eight combined tackles, a sack, five quarterback hits, and one tackle for a loss in New England's three playoff games. His sack came in the second quarter of the Super Bowl.

The following season, Jones was named to his first Pro Bowl after posting 44 combined tackles, 12.5 sacks, 11 tackles for losses and 18 quarterback hits.

Jones and the Patriots would lose in the AFC championship to the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Denver Broncos.

That would be Jones' final game with New England, as the Pro Bowler was traded to the Arizona Cardinals soon after.

New England, of course, returned with a vengeance in the 2016-17 season, as the Patriots went on to defeat the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI in what was one of the greatest games of all time.

All in all, Jones finished his career in New England with 211 combined tackles, 36 sacks, 38 tackles for losses, 10 forced fumbles, eight passes defensed and an interception returned for a touchdown in 55 games.

Jones was instrumental in the rebirth of the Patriots dynasty, with whom he also gained vital experience as an up-and-comer in the league.

Fast forwarding to today, Jones has been selected to four Pro Bowls and two All-Pro First Teams, has led the league in sacks (17 in the 2017 season), tackles for losses (28 that same season) and forced fumbles (eight in the 2019 season).

Raider Nation can only hope the future Hall of Famer wins another ring, this time as a member of the Silver and Black.
