The Las Vegas Raiders could be adding to their resume of modern-era players in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2024.

NFL legend and former Raiders cornerback Eric Allen was deemed a modern-era finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2024, NFL Network revealed on Wednesday.

Allen is most known for his seven seasons as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, with whom he was selected to five Pro Bowls and an All-Pro First Team in his second NFL season.

While most of Allen's personal success came in Philadelphia, he never went as far as the NFC title game with the Eagles.

However, after joining the Oakland Raiders in 1998, Allen went on to become a valuable contributor on a Raiders team that went to the AFC Championship game in 2000-01. The Silver and Black ultimately lost to the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Baltimore Ravens.

In four seasons as a Raider, Allen totaled 219 combined tackles, one for a loss, one sack, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, 15 interceptions, 40 passes defensed and four touchdowns.

Allen's three interceptions returned for touchdowns during the 2000 season is a Raiders record and marked the second time in his career he accomplished the feat. That made him the only player in NFL history to have two seasons with at least three interceptions returned for touchdowns. He scored on four interceptions as an Eagle in 1993.

Allen had a three-year stint with the New Orleans Saints in between his years with Philadelphia and Oakland. He was selected to the last of his six Pro Bowls in his firstseason with New Orleans.

In total, Allen registered 787 combined tackles, three sacks, six forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries, 54 interceptions, eight interceptions returned for touchdowns and one fumble returned for a score in his 14-year NFL career.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2024 selections will be announced at the NFL Honors in Las Vegas on Feb. 8.
