Meyers is Seeing What Adams is All About Firsthand

In this story:
One of the main things Raider Nation has anticipated for the Las Vegas Raiders' offense this season is the tandem of wide receivers Jakobi Meyers and Davante Adams.
Adams is among the most renowned wideouts in the National Football League and is believed by many to be the best at his position.
Meanwhile, Meyers can potentially be a Pro Bowl receiver, and learning from a well-decorated, experienced veteran like Adams should only move him further along in that process.
After only months and a week of training camp with the six-time Pro Bowler, Meyers already sees what all the talk is about.
"He's just a pro, honestly," Meyers told reporters. "All the good things you hear about him, those aren't just things people just randomly said, like he earned every compliment I feel like he got, honestly. He attacks the game well, he can do a lot of things on the football field, and I see why he get paid the big bucks, truthfully. He's one of them guys who they say he's good, and then he comes out and shows that he good. It's been a lot, honestly, I could sit here and name it all day, but I know you all want to go home."
Meyers recognizes and admires Adams' humility amidst all the hype.
"I feel like a lot of guys probably get to the top and lose who they are maybe, but no not him," Meyers said. "He is who he is, and I respect it. I wouldn't say I'm surprised, but I respect who he is as a person and how he helps the other guys like you said, how he still is willing to speak up for younger guys, speak up for himself. So, I respect him as a man for sure."
Adams enters the 2023-24 campaign coming off three straight Associated Press first-team All-Pro selections.
The Silver and Black open the preseason by hosting the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 4 p.m. EDT/1 p.m. PDT.
