Three Raiders Shine Despite 31-17 Loss to Kansas City

Las Vegas Raiders Josh Jacobs, Jakobi Meyers and Maxx Crosby shine despite a 31-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Las Vegas Raiders are 5-7 this season and on a two-game losing streak, as Interim Coach Antonio Pierce has a coaching record of 2-2 since he took over.

Three Raider players shined despite the 31-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

It starts with Raiders running back Josh Jacobs, as the Raiders' offense established the running game early with Jacobs, which paid off. He finished the game by rushing on for 110 yards on 20 carries, including a 63-yard touchdown in the first half. Jacobs has 220 carries for 771 yards and six touchdowns this season.

Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers also shined against the Chiefs,  finishing the game with six receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown from quarterback Aidan O'Connell on the opening drive of the game. Meyers has 52 catches for 591 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games this season.

Lastly, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby shined despite losing to the Chiefs. Crosby was listed as doubtful against the Chiefs, including missing practice all week. However, he was determined to play and played throughout the entire game. 

Crosby's streak continuedm, as he has not missed any games due to injury. He finished the game with the Raiders' only sack of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Crosby has 39 solo tackles, 27 assists, 11.5 sacks and one fumble recovery in 12 games this season.

The Raiders enter week 13 of the 2023-24 NFL regular season with a bye week before going head-to-head in Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The Raiders are 1-2 in AFC West divisional play and are the 12th seed in the conference. The next time the Raiders and Chiefs will face off is Christmas Day.

The Silver and Black will return home to Allegiant Stadium to take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, December 10, at 4:05 p.m. EST/1:05 p.m. PST.
