The Raiders' Rooting for the Golden Knights
Exciting times are happening in the city of Las Vegas. One of those things is the Vegas Golden Knights playing in the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals.
The Golden Knights are appearing in the second Stanley Cup Finals; the team appeared in the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals and lost to the Washington Capitals. The Golden Knights are against the Florida Panthers in a best-of-seven series.
The Golden Knights are leading in the best-of-seven series, 3-1, against the Florida Panthers.
The Raiders organization has shown the local hockey team some love as they play in the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals. Multiple players and coaches have been wearing Golden Knights appearal in the Raiders facilities.
Coach Josh Mcdaniels and Defensive Coordinator Patrick Graham of the Raiders spoke to the media about the excitement in Las Vegas with Golden Knights playing in the Stanley Cup Finals.
"Obviously, it's an exciting time in Las Vegas, from our organization to the Golden Knights, we want to congratulate them on making the Stanley Cup Finals," McDaniels said. "We wish Coach Cassidy and the entire organization, the entire team well and luck, obviously as they head into this championship round. There's going to be a number of our players who will be there supporting them, and we're all excited to continue to pull for them. Obviously they've had a great year and we're looking forward to continuing to support that."
"Two of my favorite things outside of football and my family ... are playoff basketball and playoff hockey," Graham said. "Luckily since I've been here, I've been able to go to some of the playoff games for the Aces, I've been able to go to some of the playoff games for the Knights, and the fact that it's the hometown, I mean, it's been great. It's inspirational."
This is a very exciting time in Las Vegas as the Golden Knights seek to win their first-ever Stanley Cup Finals and hope to bring the city a championship all the people will remember forever.
