Jack Jones is a Money Year Player for the Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Jack Jones is entering the 2024-25 NFL regular season as a money-year player for the Silver and Black.

One takeaway from the 2023-24 NFL regular season was the Las Vegas Raiders finishing with an improved defensive secondary.

There is no doubt that cornerback Jack Jones impacted the Raiders' secondary once he was signed mid-season by the Silver and Black after being released by the New England Patriots.

Jones finished the season with a Pro Football Focus grade of 71.6, a run defense grade of 81.7, a pass rushing grade of 69.4 and a coverage grade of 71.9.

In his first season with the Silver and Black, Jones made 30 solo tackles and had two interceptions in seven games.

Jones' best performances came in Weeks 14 and 15 of the 2023-24 NFL regular season.

Against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14, Jones finished with five combined tackles and an impressive 16-yard one-handed pick-six touchdown.

Jones finished the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day in Week 15 with five combined tackles and a 33-yard pick-six touchdown.

On a recent episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast, our Hondo Carpenter Sr. had the chance to share his thoughts on Jones and why he is a money-year player for the Silver and Black, as well as highlighting Patrick Graham and Antonio Pierce with the connections both have had on Jones as a player.

"I am a total buyer of Jack Jones," Carpenter said. "This guy played like an All-Pro last year under the tutelage of the leadership of Patrick Graham and Antonio Pierce.

"Antonio Pierce had a relationship with him going back to high school, so he kept him focused, and the leadership of Patrick Graham was phenomenal in his life.

Jones looks to make an impact as a cornerback for the Silver and Black defense again next season.
