The Las Vegas Raiders are looking for their second victory of the season when they travel to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., to battle the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

The Raiders are looking to win another divisional game, while the Chargers get their first look at an AFC West opponent this season.

The Chargers have not lacked offensive firepower this season, largely in part due to the play of star quarterback Justin Herbert and the influence of new Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore.

It also has been due to their most consistent weapon, wide receiver Keenan Allen, who has been one of the top receivers in the league for years, and is off to another good start this season.

In Week 3 against the Minnesota Vikings, Allen set an NFL record with the most games of 11 or more receptions with 14. He caught 18 passes for 215 yards in that game, bringing his season totals to 32 receptions, which leads the league, for 402 yards and two touchdowns.

Allen, 31, is playing in his 11th NFL season. In his career, he has caught 828 passes for 9,689 yards and 54 touchdowns. He was a favorite target of the great Philip Rivers for many years, and now he is a favorite target of Herbert, as well.

Allen’s biggest strength is his route running, using his quickness and 6-foot-2, 211-pound frame to get himself open on several different routes. He has an incredibly quick release off the line of scrimmage that allows him to separate from his defender.

Allen has posted good numbers in his career against the Raiders, catching 103 passes for 1,146 yards and six touchdowns in 17 games. His best game came in 2017 when the Raiders were still in Oakland, when he caught nine passes for 133 yards and a touchdown.

After sustaining a torn ACL in 2016, Allen won Comeback Player of the Year in 2017. He is a five-time Pro Bowler and has five 1,000-yard seasons in his career.

Moore and the Chargers have made it a priority to get the ball to their best receiver this season, and it has paid off. For years, Allen has been one of the most consistent receiving threats in the league.

The Raiders must know where Allen is at all times, or he will beat them all game long.

The Silver and Black return to the road this week in Inglewood, Calif., to play the Los Angeles Chargers (1-2) on Sunday, Oct. 1, at 4:05 p.m. EDT/1:05 p.m. PDT.
