Maxx Crosby Known for Playing Well in Sofi Stadium

Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby is known for performing well in Sofi Stadium.

The Las Vegas Raiders are preparing for yet another road game, this time on Sunday against the divisional rival Los Angeles Chargers, in Inglewood, Calif.

This will be the Raiders' fourth time playing in the Chargers' relatively new stadium. Sofi Stadium, home of the Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams, opened during the 2020-21 NFL regular season and was the host stadium of Super Bowl LVI.

There is one Raiders defensive player who has performed well in Sofi Stadium, and that defensive player is star defensive end Maxx Crosby.

This will be Maxx Crosby's ninth career game playing against the Chargers. In eight career games against the Chargers, Crosby has 20 solo tackles, 11 assists and 3.5 sacks.

Last season, the Silver and Black had the opportunity to play in Sofi Stadium twice in one season. The Raiders played both L.A. teams, the Chargers and Rams, on their home turf in Sofi Stadium.

This will be Crosby's fifth career game in Sofi Stadium. Last season against the Chargers in Sofi, Crosby racked up 10 total tackles, with eight being solos. Last season against the Rams in Sofi, Crosby had four total tackles and one sack.

Against the Chargers, Crosby averages 2.9 tackles and 1.6 assisted tackles, 4.4 combined tackles and 0.5 sacks per game.

Crosby is also on milestone watch for the Silver in Black this season. So far this season, he has 15 combined tackles and two sacks.

If Crosby finishes with 11.5 sacks or more this season for the Silver and Black, he will reach 49.0 total career sacks through his first five seasons in the NFL. If this occurs, it would be the most by a Raiders defender through five seasons.

The Raiders look to go 4-3 all-time in Sofi Stadium with a victory over the Chargers.

The Silver and Black return to the road this week in Inglewood, Calif., to play the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 1, at 4:05 p.m. EDT/1:05 p.m. PDT.
