Raiders' Rookie One of the Fastest LBs in Madden NFL 24

Only a day after Las Vegas Raiders rookie cornerback Jakorian Bennett was revealed to be one of the fastest players in Madden NFL 24, another Raider rookie's impressive speed was released.

Electronic Arts (EA) revealed its linebacker and quarterback ratings for Madden NFL 24 on Friday.

Among the top-10 fastest linebackers in the game is Raiders 2023 sixth-round pick Amari Burney. The rookie was given a speed rating of 89, tying him for seventh among fastest linebackers.

New York Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke, Seattle Seahawks linebacker Devin Bush, Carolina Panthers linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill, Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean and Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Nick Niemann were the others to have 89 speed ratings.

Ahead of them were Owen Pappoe (93) of the Arizona Cardinals, Troy Andersen (92) of the Atlanta Falcons, Channing Tindall (91) of the Miami Dolphins, Devin White (91) of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Trenton Simpson (91) of the Baltimore Ravens and Tanner Muse (90) of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Burney, who received an overall rating of 64, also was given an 88 acceleration rating, an 83 agility rating, a 78 tackle rating, an 80 jumping rating, a 90 injury rating, an 81 toughness rating, an 81 change-of-direction rating, an 83 pursuit rating and an 83 hit power rating.

Burney played five seasons at Florida, where he totaled 223 combined tackles, 15 for losses, seven sacks, four interceptions, 16 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 58 games. He was a four-time SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll honoree.

EA will reveal its final ratings for the game on Saturday with punters, kickers, and full backs.

Madden NFL 24 will be released on Aug. 15.

So far, wide receiver Davante Adams, running back Josh Jacobs and defensive end Maxx Crosby of the Raiders all have received 90-plus ratings for this year's edition.
