Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby wants to be the greatest player ever to wear the Silver and Black someday.

Crosby knows the level of work it will take to reach that point and takes it seriously. Now that he is recovering from two offseason surgeries, he has gotten back to training for the 2024 season.

In addition, Crosby set career-highs in 2023 but wants to win more football games in 2024. Now that the Raiders have added star defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, Crosby will see fewer double teams and be able to attack more one-on-one opportunities off the edge.

Crosby joined The NFL Report with Steve Wyche, Brian Baldinger, and James Palmer to discuss how he is attacking the offseason.

“I pride myself on being the best in every category, and I know I’m getting close to that every single day,” Crosby said. “So, it’s been an incredible offseason, I feel great, my knee is feeling great, my hand as well. So, yeah, I've got the best team around me: Rick Slate, A.J. Neibel, Ricky, my nutritionist, everybody, Alex Guerrero, working on my body five times a week, it doesn’t stop. Those guys, without them, it wouldn’t be possible, and that’s why I try to get my guys to do it.”

Not only does Crosby try to improve elements of his game on the field in the offseason, but he also tries to improve his body and his nutrition.

During the segment, he credited several members of the Raiders’ training staff, including Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Rick Slate and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach A.J. Neibel.

Despite two significant injuries, Crosby was still able to post multiple career-highs in different statistical categories last season. His play made him a Defensive Player of the Year finalist and earned him a third straight Pro Bowl selection.

Crosby knows greatness begins in the offseason. He tries to take advantage of every day. He has talked numerous times about updating his goals every offseason, trying to achieve new goals, and leveling himself up each year.

Crosby is trying to bring the Raiders back to the postseason. He knows the work to make that happen begins before games are even played, and he is prepared to do what it takes to bring winning days to Las Vegas.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
