The Las Vegas Raiders know they need to maintain offensive consistency if they want to keep turning their season around.

As they travel to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami to face the Miami Dolphins, they know that although the Dolphins have allowed 25 points per game to opponents this season, they still have a formidable defense.

Rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell has played well in his three starts this season, but several good players on this Dolphins' defense could cause him issues in this game.

There are stars on Miami’s defense, but there are also quality depth pieces who can make their impact felt. One of those players is cornerback Kader Kohou.

Kohou came onto the scene last season for the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M-Commerce. He joined the starting lineup after Byron Jones sustained an Achilles injury.

According to Pro Football Focus, Kohou was targeted 115 times and allowed 74 completions for 718 yards. He also had 10 pass break ups and an interception.

The numbers have not been there for Kohou this season, as he has allowed 48 receptions on 57 targets and four touchdowns, but he is far from a liability in coverage.

Through the first two seasons of his career, Kohou has posted 115 total tackles, nine tackles for losses, 17 passes defended, a forced fumble and an interception. He has given the Dolphins great play as an undrafted free agent after being thrust into a significant role.

At 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds, Kohou has manned the slot for most of the season, but has also played on the outside.

This is the second defensive system Kohou played in the NFL, as Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio’s system is much less man-coverage-heavy than former Defensive Coordinator Josh Boyer’s.

With Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard holding down the outside cornerback positions, the Dolphins have Kohou in the slot, where he has fared well. This makes for a terrific cornerback trio.

O’Connell and the Raiders have been trying to find consistency in the passing game but now face a tough test, especially from the slot. Kohou will draw the match-up with either Hunter Renfrow or Tre Tucker, which they cannot overlook.

The Silver and Black will head out on the road to South Beach to take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
