WR Jakobi Meyers Faces Former Team on Sunday

In this story:
It is a short week for the Las Vegas Raiders as they prepare for their Week 6 game against the New England Patriots in Allegiant Stadium.
The Raiders ended their three-game losing streak and eight-game losing streak against the Green Bay Packers with a 17-13 victory on Monday night. This was the first time the Raiders beat the Packers since the 1987 NFL regular season.
Next on the Raiders schedule is a Week 6 game against the New England Patriots. The Patriots are 1-4 with a victory over the New York Jets and losses to the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints.
Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers gets to play against his former team this Sunday. Meyers spent four seasons with the Patriots after signing as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State.
During his four years with the Patriots, Meyers made 235 receptions for 2,758 yards and eight touchdowns.
This is Meyers' first season with the Silver and Black, and he has been a key target on the Raiders' offense, with 18 receptions for 199 and three touchdowns in four games, having missed one due to an injury.
On Monday night against the Packers, Meyers was a key factor for the Silver and Black offense. He made seven receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown early in the 2nd quarter.
Meyers isn't the only Raider who faces off against his former team on Sunday. Coach Josh McDaniels spent 13 seasons as the Patriots' offensive coordinator before being the Raiders head coach.
This will be McDaniels second straight season going up against the Patriots as the Silver and Black's head coach. These two teams met last season in Allegiant Stadium, where the Raiders won 30-24.
The Raiders look to go 3-3 and extend their all-time series lead with a win over the Patriots this Sunday.
The Silver and Black will stay home at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas next week to play the New England Patriots on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 4:05 p.m. EDT/1:05 p.m. PDT.
