The Las Vegas Raiders are slated to have two-holiday games this upcoming season.

The first is their Christmas Day game against the defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, with the second being on New Year's Eve.

In that Week 17 game set for Dec. 31, the Raiders will take on the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium at 1 p.m. EST.

It will have been over half a decade since the Silver and Black last played on the holiday.

The last time was in 2017, when the Raiders faced the Los Angeles Chargers in their final season game.

Holding a 6-9 record heading into the finale, the Raiders, who were in Oakland then, were merely playing for pride against a divisional foe.

However, a 30-10 loss would suggest there wasn't nearly enough of it.

The game was scoreless heading into the second quarter. Still, an unorthodox sequence would end the stalemate, as Chargers running back Melvin Gordon fumbled after an 11-yard gain, only to be redeemed by wide receiver Keenan Allen, who recovered the fumble and took it to the house for the first points of the game.

But Oakland answered almost immediately when quarterback Derek Carr found Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper for an 87-yard touchdown reception only four plays into the next drive.

Just like that, the game was tied, 7-7.

On Los Angeles' attempt to respond on the next drive, former Raiders defensive tackle Justin Ellis blocked the opponent's 50-yard field goal attempt, setting up the Raiders offense at Los Angeles' 30-yard line.

Oakland could muster a field goal, taking a 10-7 lead with just under seven and a half minutes remaining in the third.

Los Angeles was able to respond, however, as Chargers legend Phillip Rivers found a wide-open Tyrell Williams for a 56-yard touchdown.

On the ensuing drive, Carr would look deep from Los Angeles' 43-yard line, but Chargers free safety Tre Boston intercepted his throw in the end zone.

Los Angeles would run away with the game from there, leaving the Raiders in the dust.
